Update on my TTC journey… starting Letrozole on my next cycle.
Hey guys and welcome back to my channel i haven’t made a video in a really long time so i wanted to get back on here and give you guys a really quick update on what’s been going on since my last video i think the last video i made was in regards to my scar from the tubal reversal which this past january so two months ago january 28th of 2020 was my one-year march
Since my tubal reversal about seven months ago i believe i had the hsg test done to see if my tubes were still open and they were we were hoping to conceive within three months of that but we didn’t so life has changed a lot we got finished building our house that’s why the background is different we are now living in it which is really nice the stress from
Building the home is not there anymore so that’s really nice because now i can just focus on life and trying to conceive maybe a little bit more i just went to the doctor just a few days ago and actually about a week ago and she ran a bunch of blood tests she checked out my lh levels my fsh my estrogen my progesterone my thyroid my a 1c she did a lot of tests
To see if everything was okay she also tested my amh which has something to do with i guess checking to see what your reserves are to see what your likelihood of i guess getting pregnant and my amh was a 1.6 so that’s not great but it’s not it’s not considered to be low low is considered one and under so i’m 1.6 so i’m within a good range i guess so anyhow she
Did the test and everything came out good so she prescribed to me letrozole and i’m supposed to start lectures on my next cycle which will be i just finished my cycle about a week and a half ago so my next cycle is about you know almost two and a half three weeks away so that’s kind of exciting letrozole if you don’t know what that is it is a fertility drug
That helps you too late and produce follicles it can produce multiple follicles so the percentage rate it’s lower than clomid to have twins but it’s still a possibility that you could have twins but that’s the route that we’re going just because we haven’t conceived yet so obviously i’m not pregnant so if you guys were wondering no i’m still not pregnant so
We’re gonna be starting that next cycle which will be at the end of this month actually no we’ll be doing that yes so i have to do take the letrozole between cycle day 3 through 7 and i’m taking 5 milligrams or i will be taking 5 milligrams of the letrozole and then i have to do a view lesion tracking and all that so the bad part about it is we are going to be
In aruba when i am supposed to be ovulating because my birthday is coming up so yeah i don’t know how i feel about all that i guess i’m gonna have to travel with some ovulation tracking strips or i don’t know hopefully it works out and we do see if on the first cycle of letrozole but well i guess we’ll have to see because i’ve never taken it before what else has
Changed i think that’s pretty much it we have been trying for january 28th of 2020 was our one-year mark since the surgery my tubal reversal surgery and nothing has happened yet i’m not really sure why there’s clearly nothing wrong with me there’s nothing wrong with my husband it just hasn’t happened yet i am gonna be trying the soft cups which are the menstrual
Cups i’m gonna try those possibly this week because this is today is my first day of my ovulation window i might try them this week i might not i don’t really i’m quite honestly try ‘red of trying it’s very exhausting so i might try it this week i might just let it go and try it next week if we don’t conceive this month which i don’t assume that we will because
We haven’t yet but we i am not going through the one thing that i wanted to say was i’m not going through a fertility clinic for the letrozole a lot of letrozole videos that i’ve seen on youtube women get the latch resolve from a fertility clinic and then they have to do they take the letrozole and then they do a trigger shot which i guess is hcg that they get
From the fertility clinic i’m not doing that i’m not doing the ultrasounds i guess some women check to see what size their follicle their follicles are before they take the trigger shot but again i’m not going through a fertility clinic i’m just going through my gynecologist and she’s the one that prescribed to me the letrozole so fingers crossed that it works
Fingers crossed that i don’t have crazy amounts of symptoms with the letrozole i haven’t really decided what time i’m going to be taking the letrozole i’ve heard taking it at night can decrease the amount of side effects that you have because you’ll sleep through them other people say that it keeps them awake so i don’t know but i do know you have to be consistent
With whatever time you choose so i haven’t decided yet today i am going to be starting to do the ovulation tracking again just to kind of get my feet wet and kind of see where my body’s at with ovulating because i haven’t been doing it for the last few months and then next month hopefully i’ll be a little bit more prepared with knowing kind of what day i normally
