Eew! Say what? Here’s my Trintellix antidepressant update.
Okay so part of my journey has been physical part of it has been mental emotional i have suffered with depression for as long as well almost as long as i can remember i think i remember really feeling depressed around age eight this was after my parents divorce and you would think that was situational but nothing has ever really changed that situation except
Medication and sometimes medication plus therapy in all these years following which is decades later so about the same time that i had started my whole 30 which you can see the video i will link it below i started trintellix so my last antidepressant which was wellbutrin had my blood pressure through the roof this happened very suddenly i had been fine for a year
And then it shot through the roof and it was a big problem so i had to switch so that is why i started the trintellix i stopped the wellbutrin abruptly i don’t really think i had withdrawal from that i may have had a headache for a few days but i sometimes have that starting a new antidepressant so it’s hard to say what that was all about now for the first week or
So i was down down down down down down like down low depressed and was getting really scared and then around the second week it lifted a little bit and now i’m about a month into it and i’m actually starting to feel a little bit better a little bit more optimistic i’m looking forward to my mornings again sometimes i have a honeymoon effect with antidepressants
So i’m just going to have to watch and see you know i need to give myself another month to see but this is right now on 10 milligrams of trintellix and i have not really had side effects except for one super weird one i cannot be positive that this is due directly to the trintellix i am not a doctor i’m not a healthcare professional however this can be a side
Effect in rare cases take a look at my feet they’re so gross they itch so much actually it’s finally starting to go down now but they itched for at least a couple of weeks so intensely that i was just eventually literally tearing up my feet they look so bad and so gross and i’m so sorry about that when i show my weight and you can see my toes and you can see my
Feet and they look so gross so i apologize for that but i have heard about this from other people and i have read about it and it is on the package insert um some people can have itchiness it’s supposed to be brief it’s supposed to go away and as i said mine seems to be so whew that’s good i don’t want to keep that especially if i’m feeling good on the trintellix
I would i want to be able to stay on something that works for me and the only thing that would stop that if something was working for me would be the side effects obviously so that’s my update for now i like i said i’m starting to feel a little bit better i’m hanging in there and i really need to give it a good two months or so before i really know whether this
