An Interview with a Pancreatic Cancer Patient: in this new series of videos we highlight patients on The Gonzalez Protocol® who are being treated by the doctors we have recently educated. Rick yes so nice to see you good to see you bro last time we saw each other once in 2021 the end of the year yeah yeah so now we’re in uh may already yeah may 2022. we’re five months here yes and this is uh this is very inspirational uh this is a god story a miracle story and we’d like to share this with uh the viewers i like to say that back in july of 2021 um
Rick had severe back pain yeah you got severe back pain you went in they checked you out but they thought it was maybe kidney stone it was a kidney stone it was a kidney stone ct scan also showed a shadow on the pancreas they said i mean i believe the bile duct was stylated so they suspected something some kind of problem that i need to check on so after the kidney
Stones were removed i went to see my gi ant he did an endoscope and verified it because we continue with some symptoms no there’s no no they just wanted to check out that that shadow of the pain i should check that out and sure enough a gi doctor verified he went down endoscope and took a picture of them and biops the tumor that was there and uh declared the demo
Carcinoma yeah so there was a few things that i remember seeing in the scam report uh in the scope there was barrett’s esophagus yes right which is the chronic inflammation of the esophagus some of the literature said that it would be like a premalignant condition and then they found that there was a tumor in the head of the of the pancreas as well my stomach so
There was a lot of gi stuff going on why do you think now looking back do you think about the diet or stress or factors that could have contributed to this i mean i’ve had you know those kind i’ve had indigestion chronic indigestion and acid reflux um for years you know i would regularly eat tubs you know i’ve eaten a bottle of times a week or something like that
Which you know probably wasn’t probably help in that situation right it would temporarily help in my mind and i’m a busy high energy business guy and i probably did allow stress certainly my diet reflected my the speed or pace of my life you know we’re just not enough time to stop and properly prepare food and i did what everybody does and that is eat fast food
You know decide one minute before i had it what it was and you’ll have that and and so it was it was uh it was a big thing for me to come here and provide for that diet to begin to change in fact i was just thinking this morning i had breakfast and drank the green juice and that was something that i just couldn’t have could barely get down the first week that i
Was here i just barely drink those just because they tasted i thought awful to me and now it’s a lifestyle like a friend of mine said listen so going back a little bit uh they they did go in to try to do what’s called a whipple surgery right which is the most aggressive surgical procedure in ontology when they remove the pancreas part of the liver the gallbladder
Part of the small intestine and any other thing that they want to remove or need to remove like lymph nodes but it was impossible that’s right and he told us beforehand that there was a chance that it would either it would have moved out of the tumor there was an evidence of that or if it was too close to blood vessel that was there in both cases it was true he
Discovered some some evidence of it in the lymph nodes and it was wrapped around that blood vessel so he elected to close me up and abandoned the surgery and that’s kind of where he left us but he did remove the gallbladder he was diseased it and he put a stent in at that time no we had done that we did that the next day the next day okay and why did he need to
Stand at that time right i believe that my bile duct was secreting violent in my blood and so they needed to open that up again i would i was jaundice and itching from head to toe i’ve been barely asleep so when i arrived here i was pretty sick so tell us rick about that um that trip and how did you find out about fulfur cancer and what was that mindset because
The conventional world you know they probably told you not to myself what to do is that right that’s right i mean they’re the pathway in the american medical community for remote i guess any cancer was certainly my cancer is oncology right traditional oncology so chemotherapy radiation some form of that is where they proposed i go i’m a surgeon you know recognize
That those are painful you know hard on all your life and he declared after he closed me up that this was in fact stage four pancreatic cancer which is a bit ominous and he said what holly asked him what we should do he said well i think you should just go live your best life so he was saying it gently but his in his mind you know this thing was over if i wasn’t
Going to go down that round because i had felt like i shouldn’t do chemotherapy radiation i didn’t want me to go that round and i was asking the lord what how should we go you know don’t we don’t want to pursue something out of our out of our flesh or out of our human wisdom but the lord showed me something and holly’s longtime doctor in there in our hometown
Your wife yeah my wife holly her and her an all-time doctor ben edwards is a i guess you would say a holistic or a homeopathic doctorate and he knew you and uh knew about hope for cancer and there was another route that we could go he said either one of these routes might be good but i think it’s one that you should pursue go ask the lord to confirm it his hope
For cancer dr tony jimenez said he said your work was down here was amazing you would do it and that this might be exactly the right thing for me so we went home and prayed about that and uh your place in cancun you know beautiful uh tourist town you know of and i thought wow that’s a pretty good place but i really felt like in my own mind i was like what is this
Is this really the right thing and i asked him to give me some real clarifying direction are we just going down there for a vacation to forget about this or is this a real half way to heal it and uh you know we had lots of people praying over us and uh i still had this billy reuben and so i was jaundice and i really felt sick for the most similar so i was just
Struggling to can discern what he wanted to do he gave me a very clear message that we should come here i asked him very directly one night a couple of weeks before we were supposed to come i said lord is this the path you’ve had for me he gave me a very clear sign that i was supposed to come here boy i needed that was a sign it’s kind of funny i was about
Eight o’clock at night i was watching a movie i was watching the new james library on apple tv and i had just prayed for the lord to show me the right thing i had stopped at a commercially he said laura this is what i was supposed to do i came back and said and resume the movie and it stopped my apple tv would not work it just stopped frozen i couldn’t get it
Unfrozen and i messed around with it for their teammates and i said well i guess i’ll watch something else that was it was uh football game on it’s i think it was thursday night football or something and so uh flipped over to watch the game and on the screen was the corona beer commercial and holly and i had been saying um that if we were in mexico it’d be over
The holidays and so we both said that very day feliz navidad uh i thought they were going to say that you both said that you’re going to have a corona there was feliz navidad and i and i knew that was the message from ward this was his pathway mom should go forward with that so here we are wow the lord works in great ways doesn’t mean it’s so important to think
Of it like this i don’t want the wisdom of men you know what year was the lord amen without what i would do or what they would do and what you would bring these people into that pathway that are submitted to you and i will do what they say because it’s from you that’s right and so you came here to cancun hope for cancer and we had to hospitalize you or the two
Pancreatitis and so those days were tough obviously we had to decide what are we going to do for rick he was referred by a brilliant doctor from texas dr ben edwards you know you came with your wife holly beautiful couple full with the spirit and as as physicians we’re like what would be the best path the first thing was that you make it out of the hospital right
Right and then become stable enough to be discharged and at that time i thought well the gonzalez protocol i was just trained in the pathology protocol there are seven practitioners that are called gonzalez guardians that are following the work of dr gonzalez which uh encompasses a very strict very effective and detailed therapy of three components right rick you
Know this very well now the detox the diet and then the supplement program right and so we discussed it very carefully because it takes it takes a special person it takes compliance it takes will it takes support from the family uh you have to be able to swallow pills you have to be able to eat adequately right and you have to have that that’s something inside
Of you right and that commitment that commitment that’s really what you were inviting me right exactly and i was creating you to see yeah if you had the commitment boy was i uh what was i i had to be sure right because it’s we i told you we’re not going to try this we’re going to do this yes and so you jumped on boardwick and take over from there how how was that
Possible well i appreciated when you uh i think about that conversation we had a lot because you said now i know that you have been pursuing a new diet from your time here at h4c uh but you know you it’s hard to do that well and it’s time for a commitment to that you know when you go home you’re gonna have to make a serious commitment to this diet and stick to it
And can you do that you asked me that and i said i i in that moment you know i i decided that i wouldn’t do it you know i gave you my commitment but i also made a commitment i believe to god a little bit to do that you say can you swallow 200 plus pills a day and will you commit to the detox and it’s not it’s it’s important to commit to those things right i
Think the pancreatitis was something that was causing us to concern because it made you wonder if it made us wonder if could i eat right and you know without the diet this is going to be a problem and i came home to lubbock immediately had another amount of pancreatitis and spent a couple of days in the hospital but i committed to the three-pronged approach here
And i think that more than anything these enemas this detox the coffee keeps me cleaned out and uh there probably was a small intestine blockage and the doctors believed that in the hospital would love it and i think that the twice a day any of us have really made this possible because i felt a couple of times over the last four or five months some symptoms kind
Of like the pancreatitis but they were brief and i was able to buy it through and that’s actually been longer than a month ago now that i had any of that but you really have to follow the whole program even now coming to this trip here for re-evaluation in cancun rick asked me can i still do the two coffee animals during my trip yeah so that’s the commitment in
Looking at the numbers now we have the ultrasound report from when it first came here in december and then the ultrasound report here and there’s been a nice decrease in the tumor the tumor still there yep but it’s deeply seen it’s on the run it’s on the run and the ca-199 which is the two more marker for pancreatic cancer which started at 888 wow is now in the
Mid-200s reduction 75 percent reduction praise god and we see that your proteins your general blood work your liver functions everything is right where we want it to be inflammatory markers are normal and so part of the gonzalez program or a big part of it is of course to attack the cancer cells with the high dosage of pancreatic enzyme however we need to detox
As we’re doing this like you’re saying with the clean sweep the colon cleanse the juice fast the coffee enemas the liver flush uh and in addition to that all the supplements that you take are to bring your body to as close to optimum health as possible because the wisdom of god is for the body to be healthy and for the body to heal that didn’t create us to be with
A dental carcinoma the pancreas or to have any disease we’re here to have fun enjoy it love each other flourish and be of no and so this is the concept that we have to really clearly understand because a lot of you that might be watching this with cancer chronic disease it’s there’s always hope that’s really you first commit yourself to to the lord and to healing
Great things happen as they have for you well the lord did not put his cancer and i struggled early on with some moments like that i believe those were in enemy creeping in on me god wants us to flourish he created us to flourish he created our bodies to heal themselves right now we have to we have a part in that and i remember very specifically a moment in which i
Feel like the lord said to me i’m going to lead you into healing that’s not a miraculous healing in a moment but i want to lead you in the healing and you had a part in that my son i think that’s what i felt him to save me but that part is to commit to this new lifestyle diet i was reading recently rick hebrews 4 12. when it talks about the mind it talks about
The marrow the bone marrow it talks about the joints so we’re talking about hope but he used the word marrow there and the greek word for malo marrow is myelo m-y-e-l-o and what he was talking about back in those times are stem cells because the stem cells come from the matter wow and now we know so much about stem cells and their ability to allow us to regenerate
Every day and now we know more about neuroplasticity where the brain every morning when we wake up there’s new brain cells new brain cells so the lord has given the body as you just said that ability to heal itself to regenerate and so if you think that you’re aging and you have lots of memory and you know you have joint problems and you’re not feeling good just
