One Year on Birth Control UPDATE (the pill)

Once again, I’m not a healthcare professional so it’s best to consult your doctor. But if you need some sisterly advice or wanna hear about someone else’s experience, I broke it all down for you.

So hi guys um it’s me danielle if you’re new here hey so earlier this year i made a video um basically talking about my experience with birth control which is you know i was talking about how i got the pill how i got the prescription what i went and talked to the doctor about in order to get it and kind of those first a couple months and what that was like for

Me the first couple months of using it but now it’s been a year which is crazy because the fact that i survived 2020 like i’m still alive is just like mind-boggling to me but yeah it’s been a year since i first started taking it i just thought i would kind of do an update about like where i’m at if it worked and like yeah if you haven’t seen the first video go

Over there i’ll put it over here somewhere no no over here oh wait i don’t know it’s over here the type of birth control i take is this one it’s called lenesa 28 and it is uh birth control tablets it’s just a bunch of pills so what happens is and this is the one that i’m like on right now um as you can see i’m i’m on the last week of it and basically this last

Week is the placebo week so i i should probably start this video by saying like i am not a healthcare professional in any capacity i didn’t even like go to university so i’m just another girl with you know this experience this is my experience i hope this helps you but like you know talk to your doctor so the green pills are like the last week if you take the 28

Days is just like kind of to make sure you don’t forget to take it because it’s like three weeks of hormones and then one week break and then start again but because some of us are forgetful you know who you are they have us take like a week of like pretend ones so that you know we easily transition until the next month it’s prescription um it comes in like a

Little thing right here if you open it up see last time i didn’t have one on hand this time i do it’s taken me a whole year but i have my together now so this is what it looks like it is color coded by week so there’s uh pills for every day of the month or every day of your cycle which is 28 days so 28 pills it comes with instructions and it comes with these

Like sticker thingies where you can kind of put on your pills to like kind of make sure you know what day it is about a year ago in october i want to say i went into my family doctor and i just asked um if i could i was basically showering my interest in wanting to be on it um and then this is the one that she recommended to me this is the one that i’ve been

Taking since and so far i haven’t had any problems in the past year even that video that i made a couple months ago after having taken it for like maybe three months i didn’t really experience any problems you kind of hear a lot of girls who like um get nauseous and get like hormonal changes like they get really moody they get like some people gain some weight

Some people like lose their appetite whatever and i can tell you that i seriously don’t think i even experienced any of that maybe i’m just lucky or maybe this is just like really really good my doctor did tell me when i went in for my follow-up that it is a low dosage which kind of freaked me out because i’m like um i need a full dosage i’m not trying to slip

But um it’s pretty good i can’t complain one of like the best things about it which i didn’t initially ask my doctor about a birth control that can specifically help me out with my acne but i don’t know maybe she was like because she’s known me for a long time she’s like oh let’s like help her out because her skin is really bad but um luckily she gave me this one

And it basically just like cleaned up my face i can’t explain how bad my acne was before and i don’t know if that’s like a hormonal like teenager thing um but all throughout my teens i had really bad skin like i had like weird like cystic acne i had like scarring like all my scars are basically gone like which is so wild and like the only time i ever get like

Any sort of pimples if i do is like during my period which is which is fine because i’m already feeling shitty so why don’t i and also we’re in a pandemic so it’s not like anyone’s gonna see my face another thing that i didn’t mention in my last video was the fact that taking the pill being on birth control or at least in my experience on this specific kind i

Have gotten my period very regularly like to the day i think the cycle is like every 28 days like i always know when i’m gonna get it and it’s never like a surprise like if i ever missed a period like i know i’m in trouble um but luckily i like i always get it on the same day so if you’re someone who like kind of has irregular periods which is i had was like that

Before like i would sometimes skip a month or like it would come a week or two later um but now it’s like every single month like every 28 days like i’d always get it so that’s pretty awesome yeah you can like schedule your life around it like it’s great like knowing ahead when i’m gonna get it it just like helps me so much it’s usually during like the placebo

Week the last like the green pill days that i usually get it so like i know now that by the time you watch this video i’m probably on my period so let me know if we’re synced another thing i don’t know if this is like a thing that happens to a lot of people but um my boobs got bigger as i said in my last video i am i was virtually like a 31 a minus like that’s

Not a that’s not a surprise to anyone that’s like that’s not news like that’s just how it was built and like i always wanted like big boobs ever since i was like small and like growing up i was thinking like oh like when i have big boobs that’s when i’m a woman you know um unfortunately that day never came i was like 18 and i’m like when are they gonna come in

Like am i gonna reach puberty i remember when i got my period for the first time when i was like 12 i was like oh my god next my boobs are gonna come in and like eight years later i’m still waiting so but fortunately which came to a very big surprise is that like maybe two months into taking the pill my boobs got like really sore and like i noticed that they were

Like kind of bigger and like filling out my bras and i was like okay okay she’s a woman is it a confidence booster absolutely like it’s great i feel i feel great i don’t see a reason why i would get off of it like i’ve had a friend who like asked me like oh you’re always gonna be on it and i’m like i don’t see why not again i only have i’ve ever i’ve only taken

The pill i haven’t tried like an implant or like an iud or something um an ied sounds pretty fun in the future because it’s less of a like you don’t have to worry about it kind of like goes up in there and then you’re like you don’t even think about it for a couple years um yeah that’s like maybe i’ll try that but i am enjoying this pill i’m taking it regularly

Sometimes i will forget which is really bad and then when you do forget you have to take like all so let’s say you forget monday tuesday wednesday so on wednesday you have to take monday tuesday and wednesday like all together and i remember one time i did that and i got so nauseous like i don’t know if that’s because like something i ate or because i was taking

All these like hormone pills but like i got so nauseous so like remember to take it another thing during this pandemic depending on where you’re from i am from canada i’m from the gta from toronto and here um we’re pretty much on lockdown again which really sucks but luckily i have been able to um have doctor’s appointments with my family doctor through the phone

And it’s so easy like whenever i need a prescription refill on these pills i just call and then under two minutes she’s like okay i faxed it over to the drugstore you just pick it up the other reason why i can’t say anything bad about this pill is the fact that it’s covered by oh hit plus so if you don’t have any like private insurance it is free if you live in

Ontario so that’s great so yeah that’s it for me and um let me know if you have any questions i would love to hear you guys experiences in the comments if you’re on some other kind of birth control like how is that working out for you did you ever feel um any sort of changes to you let me know i count myself as really lucky because some people say like it’s just

Like disastrous you have to get off of it um i’m pretty good acne gone my skin is clear my boobs are bigger it’s not costing me a penny um and yeah everyone be safe and uh continue to wear masks please dear god if you live in the gta seriously like wear a mask like i am tired of this pandemic i wanted to be done and over with so if you guys just do your part

Like we can all just like you know get back to our regular lives and yeah thanks for watching make sure you subscribe and follow me on instagram tik tok twitter theworks stainless plug to my only fans um i kind of just made an account but i don’t i don’t even know if i’m gonna like use it i’m thinking that i might use it for like like behind the scenes stuff

Like exclusive content exclusive like selfies that i don’t want to put on instagram um so yeah maybe i’ll link that down below i’m not sure sorry bye
