Sharing my experienced during and weaning dexamethasone!! From 12 MG to 1 MG dosage.
Good afternoon everyone welcome to my channel and um today i’m going to share with you um about my um about my about my winning with withdrawal with my um meds that is the dexa medicine um well um i’m gonna share with you what i have been experiencing because i’m on my last five days to go um taking my dexa medicine and i hope it will help you as well um in
The future if you are taking dexter medicine because i will i started um taking it um after my initial interview with my initial appointment with my radiologist last january january 18. i think i started right away my dexamethasone um after no actually yes after after um after that right away i started my dexamethasone and i started um 12 12 mg uh one in the
Morning one in the afternoon and one at night and then now now that i’m on my last bit of my dexamethasone um i have i have two milligrams to take no i took already i have two milligrams to take this morning and then the rest of the day today nothing else and then tomorrow i’m gonna start um taking 1mg for another four days and then i’m done and um things that
I discovered um for the side effects winning the winning and withdrawing the dexamatos on as you can see as you can see i have a moon face it is well it is swelling if you push your your cheek if i push my cheek i can feel it it is swollen and my feet are swollen there’s no sometimes there’s no shoes that can fit so i have to wear sometimes not even the socks
I only have um this is the only one that can fit on me for now sometimes when when it’s really swollen my my feet no nothing nothing will fit nothing and then my appetite right now i’m still good i’m hoping my appetite will stay the same my cravings because i don’t want to lose weight because i’m still on my chemotherapy um they for some reason i need to i
Need i need i need my appetite to be the same my cravings because i don’t want to lose weight due to my ongoing chemotherapy and yeah and then um i noticed two days ago i started shaking shaking my body is shaking all the time and then yeah i mentioned already the swelling um my hands and my legs are swell swelling and then um sometimes my legs are twitching
Yeah it’s twitching and then um it started yesterday um i’m having um muscle spasms here and then um trigger fingers and the numbing on my left side it doesn’t go away numbing and the tingling it doesn’t go away on my right um foot it doesn’t go away actually both of my my my foot they they’re numb numbing and tingling and yeah it bothers me but what can you
Do uh that’s the the side effect the dizziness or being unbalanced and wobbly i have been feeling that too a lot um all my joints it hurts sometimes um it it will just attack and it will just um it will just hurt the joints and i have to wait until they’re gone um this this afternoon oh earlier this one i don’t know it probably it took half an hour before it
Went go away and then um lately i’ve been having troub trouble i’ve been having a trouble uh sleeping well this is one of the side effects as well and of course the memory not only because of the age we’re getting old but i it it it does affect my my memory as well um that one i have been noticing and then um forgetfulness well i think that’s one of associated
As well because of my my surgery on the head brain fog yeah that too well forgetfulness brain foggy let’s add it on our age as well but i blame it to my dexameth nexa my dexa mets i oh my goodness that’s um i blame it to my meds as well and then uh one thing more that um i have been noticing even when i started even even when i’m taking it until now um
Easily get irritable uh get angry and what else agitated and my patience it’s so so short it’s too short and then um lately i’ve been noticing as well on my arm and on my leg i’m getting some bruises i don’t know where’s that coming but i tried to google it and it’s associated as well with the dexamethasone so yeah all i have to do is be patient and um let
The let let my let the meds just totally go away so i have been drinking a lot a lot a lot of water um coconut water orange juice any something that will flash all the the meds so we’ll be done weaning this uh dexameth zone so yeah hopefully it helps um hopefully if you’re taking dexa medicine you will not get this one or if you’re done already um maybe
It will help what i just said what i have experienced um in the future if you are taking or if your radiologist or your oncologist will give you or prescribe you a dexamethasone as well at least you might you you might experience as well what i had experienced but we’re all different so hopefully yours is better than mine and yeah one more is fatigue um please
Do do do take a good rest always and eat something um eat something that is good for your health good for our body and take as much rest as you can all right that’s all i can share about my winning withdrawal with my dexa medicine hope that hoping that you are getting better like me all right see you next time bye-bye
