Hello michael this is a nasal spray used for allergic rhinitis sometimes called hay fever this one’s called over miss i’m going to show you how to use it properly the medicine is in a glass bottle inside this plastic casing and there’s a window so you can see how much is left there’s a button on the side which works as a lever when you press the lever a fine
Spray of medicine comes out now i’m going to show you how to use your spray for the first time with the cap on give it a gentle shake remove the cap by squeezing between your thumb and forefinger hold the spray away from you and press up to six times until a fine mist comes out if it comes out in a jet the medicines not ready to use you may need to do this again
If you’ve left the cap off for several weeks or if you’ve dropped the container i’m going to show you how to use your nasal spray properly firstly gently blow your nose to clear your nostrils give the device a shake holding it upright tilt your head forward insert the nozzle into your nostril aiming toward the back of your head so the medicine goes into the nasal
Passages it’s important not to get the spray into the center of your nose so a good way to remember this is to aim toward the inside corner of your eye as you breathe in through your nose press the lever firmly just one spray at a time unless doctor has told you to do to take the device away and breathe out gently and then spray the other side in the same way
After you’ve sprayed both nostrils wipe the nozzle with a clean dry tissue and the inside of the cap and replace the cap i’ve explained the correct way to use the spray michael can you please show me how you would use it that was really good michael well done you you you you you
