Pharmacist Jeff shows how to properly instill eye ointment!
First today i want to show you how to use an eye ointment i just show you an eye drop so now it’s going to be an oil i just picked up a an antibiotic way meadow confirms event eye orbits are probably a little trickier to put in an eye drops and the reason being is you can’t let that to touch the edge your eyelid or your eyelashes because it can it can cut it can
Contaminate the two and we don’t want that so i’m going to show you how to do it on glasses again still crying a little bit from the drops you want to see my drop video you can go back and see me crying drops so i’m not going to put this in of course because it’s just too difficult take a little tube of course like i said any other one i always wash your hands
Before because you want clean hands when you’re handling something that you’re going to stick in your own i noticed this your honor stick doing something remove the cap all umit’s will usually come out as a nice little strange sort like toothpaste but it just on a thinner little string normally what you would do is it’s going to be very difficult to do it just
Out in the open to put violent minion it’s best if you are looking in a mirror or better still somewhere else putting it for you so you do is removed cap you’re ready cap hold the tube so it’s squeezed a little bit again same as the eye drop you got to make that little pocket and the lower eye then you’re in your eyelid and what you do is squeeze the two gently
A little stream of ointment will come out and you’re going to put a little ribbon they call it right in that little cup of your lower eyelid when you do that and you come to the end do a little loop little twist and it cuts the appointment ribbon off the end of the tip though to here that’s how you put an eye ointment usually when you see oh i tongue twister i
Pointment being used it’s usually at night because i augment is gooey and thick and once it goes in your eye you’re going to get blurred vision because that gooey ointment is staying on your own but the benefit of anointment is just that it stays on your eye so that it will it will protect it longer and it will work longer on that surface anyway ioa you can put
It in by using a mirror better still someone else do it for you but again a little cup a little ribbon twist comes off way to go recap you go that’s it for now i mean thank you very much for watching if you need any more questions on i only one drops anything at all drop on down city pharmacy here you can see any more room with glasses with you now i can see you
Better they are so if you need any more questions answered come on down to city pharmacy here on west street in corner brook and we’ll do our best to help you thanks a lot talk to you soon
