Let’s understand how to use cipla’s albuterol sulfate inhalation aerosol with dose indicator scipla’s albuterol sulfate inhalation aerosol comes as a canister with a dose indicator it also contains a package insert do refer to it for complete information on how to use your inhaler and other important facts about your medicine a dose indicator is located on top

Of the canister the dose indicator display window shows the remaining number of puffs of medicine each canister contains 200 puffs of medicine plus doses required for priming the inhaler the display window background will move after every 10 puffs while the number shown will change after every 20 puffs when only 20 puffs of medicine are left the dose indicator

Display window will turn red indicating that you either need a refill or a new prescription your inhaler needs to be primed if you are using it for the first time or if you haven’t used it for more than two weeks remove the cap from the mouthpiece and check inside for any objects ensure that the canister is fully inserted into the actuator hold the inhaler in

An upright position away from your face and shake it well press down fully on the center of the dose indicator to release a spray of medicine you may hear a quick at first but do continue to press further to ensure medicine is released repeat this step three times to release a total of four sprays shake the inhaler well before each priming spray your inhaler

Is now ready for use step 1 shake the inhaler well before each use remove the cap from the mouthpiece and check inside for any objects ensure that the canister is fully inserted into the actuator step two breathe out fully as comfortably as you can hold the inhaler upright with mouthpiece pointing towards you place the mouthpiece fully into your mouth closing

Your lips around it step 3 while breathing in slowly and deeply press down fully on the center of the dose indicator with your index finger to release a puff of medicine you may hear a click sound first but do continue to press further until the canister stops moving in the actuator step 4 hold your breath for up to 10 seconds or as long as you comfortably can

Remove the inhaler from your mouth and then breathe out step five if your doctor has prescribed multiple puffs wait for one minute and then repeat the steps step six replace the cap immediately after use clean your inhaler at least one time each week or if it gets blocked remove the canister and cap wash the mouthpiece through the top and bottom with warm water
